What counts as an FFL dealer here?

This page counts Type 01 licenses (dealer in firearms) and Type 02 licenses (pawnbroker dealing in firearms) — the licenses that let a business transfer a firearm to you. It excludes Type 03 collectors, Type 06/07 manufacturers, and Type 08/11 importers, which is why our total is lower than the ATF’s headline count of all federal firearms licenses.
